What are we creating?
The workshop will be focused on scrapbooking activities, with some reflective journaling and exercises for both of you individually and together with your child. This is not a workshop where we all work towards making the same thing, but rather we (as the facilitators) share techniques, support you to develop skills and have lovely resources waiting for you to explore. It also means that adults and children can do things that challenge and engage them individually and everyone can work at their own pace.

What age child is it suitable for?
We’d recommend children over 6 years old. We’re coming at this thinking that children who can work independently and have a go at executing their own ideas will get the most from it, and means that their grown up doesn’t have to be attached to them. We’d also say that bringing one child rather than multiple will mean that you as the grown up can enjoy your own creating a little more, and there will be a bit more space for some lovely connection between you and the child you are with. But obviously you know your child(ren) best, so please do what is best for you.

Will we have a nice time?
So this is sort of what we’re hoping the workshop (and any to follow) will be all about. We’re really good at having brilliant things for you to do (so we think you’ll really enjoy and get stuck into the scrapbooking) but secretly that’s just a way of encouraging you to slow down, de-stress, and benefit from all the great things that happen to your body when you’re being mindful and creative. We’ll have drinks and snacks, secret extra play opportunities for the children (away from you!), space to be yourself and not just ‘mum’ or ‘dad’, but also enjoy some quality connection time with your child.

Do I need to be crafty?
Absolutely not. Just have a general demeanour of willingness. Please come exactly as you are. Late, flustered, ratty, carrying the baggage of the week - we’ll take it and we want it.

Thank you if you made it this far, we really hope to see you on the 11th May.
